You can obtain a Turkish residence permit in several different ways:

• Real estate in Turkey, in all its forms and shares.
• Long term rental property in Turkey.
• Marriage to a Turkish citizen.
• Work permit. In case a Turkish firm issues you a work permit by providing you with the necessary documents.

• Application form for a residence permit. To fill in the form, you must first obtain a TIN - Taxpayer Identification Number. The forms are filled in online.
• 4 biometric photos on a white background.
• The original and a copy of your passport.
• A valid health insurance policy.
• Marriage and birth certificates for children (if you are married and have children).
• Proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay.

You also need to send the documents to the Immigration Department to get a residence permit for buying a property:

• A copy of the TAPU (this is the certificate of ownership of the property).
• A certificate from the Cadastral Office (stating that the TAPU is valid).

• Visa-free entry to 115 countries.
• Possibility to open companies and make business.
• Ability to have two nationalities. The investor does not need to give up his native country passport.
• Free medical care in public hospitals.
• The possibility of obtaining a nationality for a spouse or children under the age of 18 years.
• In order to keep the Turkish passport the investor does not have to have a permanent residence in Turkey.
